1. Shabbat – Please join us for Shabbat service. We have done well during the summer to keep the service. Enjoy the Kiddush following the service.

2. Kiddush – Kiddush Fund

We encourage you to share with us your Simcha, such as a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, wedding anniversary or birthday of your children or grandchildren. The Kiddush also adds “bonding” to the community because you can chat and schmooze with your old friends or meet new ones.

A few weeks ago Judith Rosenberg prepared a nice and tasty Kiddush on the Yahrtzeit (memorial day) of her late father Max Rosenberg.

Bertha and Isidor Weisz will host their annual Kiddush just before Rosh Hashana on September 12 to celebrate birthdays and their anniversary.

Avraham Mishkin, a new member, will be giving a Kiddush on Shabbat Shuva, September 26.

To schedule a Kiddush or to donate to the Kiddush Fund, please contact either Cynthia Flesher at 519-824-6092 or at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 3. Wine – LCBO store on Scottsdale and Stone Rd. is stocking a variety of Kosher wine. They are going to display the wine on a special section.

Please buy there so they will  see that there is a demand and will keep the variety also after the Holidays.

If you have a request for a specific item, let me know and they will try to bring it in.

4. If any of you, ladies, wish to bake her own Challa the easy way, call Techiya Fisher  519-265-1591 and she will bring the frozen Challa from Toronto.

5. Calendars – You can get the new calendars, courtesy of Israel’s Judaica in Toronto from Avraham Fisher 1-519-2651591
