Shavuot this Tuesday!

The Holiday of Shavuot will be celebrated on Tuesday May 18, with service starting at 8:00pm in the evening followed by a "Shavuot seder" with refreshments and enlightening material shared about the holiday.

Congratulations!

Who's Crazy NowCongratulation to Judith Rosenberg and "Spark of Brilliance".  Spark of Brilliance has been chosen from a total of 200 submissions to be a presenter at the Performing The World 2010 Conference: Can Performance Change the World in New York this September.

They will be presenting their film "Who's Crazy Now ... Telling Our Recovery Stories" (www.whoscrazynow.com) and offering a panel discussion of people who were trained in story-telling by Elly Litvak during two series of workshops in Guelph and Kitchener (more details to follow).

The film's Director and Producer is Mary Lalonde of Ed Video (and her team), with editors
Jay Lefler, Barb Cohen and Shirley Tremblay.  Panellists who will be an integral part of the Spark of Brilliance presentation are:  Karen McGratten, Shirley Tremblay, Jennifer Levesque and Jay Lefler.

 

Walk With Israel on Sunday May 30

The annual UJA Walk With Israel takes place on Sunday, May 30, starting at Coronation Park outside the main CNE gates in Toronto.  For full details and to register, visit www.walkwithisrael.com.

One of our Talmud Torah students, 5 year old Sol will be walking, along with his 20 month old siser, Eden.  Click here to donate to their fundraising efforts.
